Our Activities

Hindi Samaj’s main objective to promote Hindi language, literature & culture in Western Australia. We undertake a number of initiatives to achieve this objective. We organise cultural & literary events to promote Hindi & run a Hindi language community school, Paathshala. We take an active part in events & celebrations by other similar community organisations. To foster and enhance community relations, we organise social get togethers with members & volunteers.

Paathshala Hindi Language school

Through this initiative, we bring to the Perth community an opportunity to explore and learn the Hindi language. Classes are run on every Sunday morning during school term. We have multiple centres around Perth metro area. We also have online classes for distant learning.

Kalam Dawaat

It is a writer’s club which meets once a month to nurture & share their writing talent. New members are always welcome.

Indradhanush

‘Indradhanush’ is our flagship event where we showcase local talents in the fields of music, singing, dance, theatre and more. It is an event for the community, by the community.

Phulwari

Phulwari is our annual cultural program dedicated to children. It is an annual day celebration for Paathshala where children from wider community are also provided an opportunity to participate.

Hindi Divas

Each year around 14th September, we celebrate Hindi Divas by organising a cultural/literary event in Hindi.

Sahitya Baithak

This event is dedicated to promote Hindi literature. This gives a platform to new & existing local writers & literature lovers. It is organised twice a year.

Bharat Bharti

Bharat Bharti is our annual Hindi magazine in Hindi language which includes articles, stories, poems and more. Majority of the content is provided by the local writers.

Hindi Theatre

Promoting Hindi theatre is also one of our passions. Our first major production was in 2021 with ‘Tri-Natika’. We also support & promote independent productions & concerts in Hindi Language.
